Pleased to present a review of our Stravinsky disk with the Swedish Wind Ensemble, conducted by Cathrine Winnes:

The  performances are excellent. The SWE sports  marvelously resonant timbres, sparkling intonation  even in dissonance, and splendid command  at all dynamic levels; and Winnes directs  interpretations that are mischievous, brooding,  and fiercely rhythmic. Jablonski brings  a wealth of technique and color to the  Piano  Concerto, turning the slow middle movement into an intense meditation and infusing  the fast outer movements with crisp accents,  jazzy echoes, and an incisively percussive quality.

Peter Jablonski signs an initial three-disk deal with a Helsinki-based classical music label Ondine, which will see him release a complete set of mazurkas by Alexander Scriabin, including three previously unrecorded works, in Spring 2019.

In 2020 he will release the complete piano sonatas by Anton Rubinstein (1829-1894), the virtuoso pianist who single-handedly changed the face of professional music education in Russia in 1862.

Jablonski says: ‘I am incredibly excited to be working on this interesting project with such an esteemed label. For many years I have been watching Ondine bringing out disks of exceptional quality, and I look forward to contributing my own work to its substantial catalogue.’
